Habits that I try to cultivate in my daily life

1) Rejoice and be glad for a new day
2) Straight back while brushing my teeth
3) Eat at least a portion of fruits/vegetables
4) Have breakfast for breakfast, not lunch
5) Sleep before 3am
6) Set some personal time for Jesus
7) Stretching exercise
8) Drink water more than sufficiently
9) Balance protein and carb intakes (reduce carbs)
10) Place phone away from workstation while doing my work
11) Naps not exceeding 1 hour
12) Thank Jesus for a good day and wish Him goodnight

Despite busy times, I still treat myself by editing videos once in a while. I don't know how that might sound interesting, but somehow it is for me :) I get to relive memorable moments and test my video editing skills every time. Anyway, enjoy this video of winter wonderland!

True Contentment

How content are we with our lives?

"I want just a little bit more to be content with myself"
"Why must she pay more attention to him instead of me?"
"Don't I deserve more praise than that lazy colleague?"
"It would be awesome to get a job in UK"
"If only I lost that extra weight, I will feel more comfortable in my skin"
"How to ever earn enough money to afford a car, let alone a house?!"

No matter what circumstances we are under in, 
facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need,
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

What Jesus had done on the cross for us is completely complete.
He has paid in full for us.
To have received that full payment is so much more than enough.
He is the ALL in ALL.
God will meet all our needs according to the riches of our glory in Christ Jesus.
True contentment is found in Him!

Stop complaining and grumbling.
It will only leave the gates of your castle (heart) open to discontentment.

Winter Wonderland time!
Doesn't look very pretty during the day.

Kit (#13) and Nick (#12) ready to race, to see which reindeer is the fastest! They are given three balls each and they have to slide them in the holes and the more points you score, the reindeer moves faster, all the way to the finish line! You are also given a certain amount of time to practice before the reindeers start racing. Let's get something clear, reindeer #4 won the last round and the player was probably there again when it was our turn. So he had way more practice. Anyway, being the kid that I am sometimes, I can be way too excited about things like this.

I will rise

What is your take on social networking? May it be through phones, laptops, tablets, etc.
I can honestly admit that almost every single time I'm about to sleep (lights off and in bed) at night and the moment I open my eyes in the morning, I have my phone in my hands. Checking Facebook, Twitter (not active, but still checking though I still feel it is a waste of time), watching my daily dose of Youtube videos, checking Facebook again!

Yes it is hard to avoid all these things being in this time and generation. It becomes a mere habit. Something you just tend to do without having to make yourself do it. Like a reflex (even when there are no notifications to check on).

This morning, after my first "ritual", catching up on 'the world', I felt a gentle nudge / reminder and I knew exactly who it's from and what it was; to Start and End the day with God.

Cheers to the New Year!

HELLO 2013!

2012 was amazing for me! Am truly grateful for all the experiences, opportunities, ups and downs the year 2012 had to offer! 

For one, the travelling and visits were more than I could hope for in one year!

On a more serious note, God has been so wonderful and gracious, bringing me back to His Love over and over again! Every single time I fall or fail, He was there. and He will be there again and again! The past year was definitely a roller coaster ride, but all in all, I know it was part of a perfect plan and journey God had set out for me.

A new year can seem like you can erase the past and set out for new beginnings, new dreams, new goals, which is nothing wrong at all. I choose to learn from what was lost in the past, to have more faith now and in the future. And all the beginnings, dreams and goals I have in mind for this year, to surrender them all to Jesus!
